Digital Photo and Photoshop Image: “Winter Solstice at the House of Falling Trees”
Santa Fe, New Mexico

This image was created in December, 2005. My father died November 15, 2005. The pinon trees on our property are all dying from the bark beetle infestation and drought and starting to fall over. Soldiers and civilians are dying in Iraq for a senseless war. There must be some lessons somewhere in all of these dead trees, dead parents, and dead soldiers. I hope I will be able to learn these lessons.
