Artist's Statement:

I have been in the design and advertising business for more than 40 years, and today I live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I own Design Twenty-Two Eleven, a full-service design, advertising, and marketing firm located in Santa Fe.  I am also a student and have been learning and working in clay for many years.

I find that working in earthenware clays and discovering low fire under-glazes allows my graphic design capabilities to come into play in appealing and exciting ways. The decorating ideas are endless and can range from a painterly technique to an abstract design. Also, one of my highest priorities is to continue improving my throwing skills. Under-glaze applications, broad color choices, electric kiln firings, and the endless variety they offer for concept development and application make for new and fresh design and illustrative challenges to explore.

I am a native of Chicago, Illinois, and attended art school at the American Academy of Art and the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
