Artist's Statement:

Twenty months ago I touched my first piece of clay. I enrolled in a class at Santa Fe Clay in hand building. Then I took a class in wheel throwing. Next I went to a hand building workshop in Taos where I learned how to apply a wet slip to a slab. On my return to Santa Fe Clay I applied this technique to wheel throwing. I make all of my bowls using this method..wet slip and stretching the clay while it is still on the wheel.

Using both wheel throwing and hand building techniques, I fire the work to cone 10 reduction. The sizes of the bowls are from 3" high to 4" and the dia. from 4 to 6 inches...the vessel's are hand built and range from 2" high to 16 inches. The prices range from $30 to $90.
